What is a promposal you ask , well let me tell you, it is one of the most important parts of the season , A promposal is where the girl or date is asked to attend prom in a special and unique way , providing a photo opportunity and a memory forever.

years since my senior prom . I am no longer in touch with those prom dates , but I still remember many many of the special details of my special days. I think a young girl plans for her prom day for about two years prior to actually going to prom . I think the mothers plan their daughters’ day as well ….. It is a dream day that comes to fruition sometime in the mid teen years, and forms a memory that one can hold on to forever and ever. It is somewhat of a magical fairy tale , there is the occasional horror of some intricate part of the festivity going awry , but quite typically this is the pinnacle of the teenage years. For the girl and her date , essentially it is just as important for him ! As everyone’s eyes are on her , her eyes will be on him , to take a phrase from an old Men’s Warehouse commercial. Speaking of planning the day , many mom’s of the boys get all involved too . Sometimes they have no daughter to plan for prom with , so they take it upon themselves to make this day as equally important for their son and making certain every detail is impeccably planned to the utmost detail. ( Pinterest will get credit for some of this ) .

Being located where we are , I have the opportunity to meet the needs of prom girls from a variety of schools in the area. Columbiana, Crestview, Heartland , Lisbon , Leetonia, East Palestine , United , South Range, Canfield and Boardman . This year we featured a Prom Motion give away in order to get orders into the shop earlier than later. I gave away one 100.00 prom flower order , one 50.00 prom flower order and one 25.00 toward the prom flower order. This competition was well received and I have a feeling we will be making that a continued promotion . I also had donations for a coffee card from Generations Coffee , Pizza Hut , and South Range Hair studio.
Well let’s talk about your flowers for prom ….. They need to be an accent of your style , they need to compliment your attire and coordinate your ensemble. Some girls want their flowers to be BIG and when I say BIG i mean B I G … some girls want their flowers to be understated and a slight accessory . Some are made of fresh flowers and some are made of artificial . They range in price from $25.00 – $300.00 It is all up to you and the flowers you have chosen . As well as the design you have selected.
Some flowers are not able to be put into a corsage and some are just too fragile to offer as a prom bouquet. We have been using lots of brooches and hat pins , this vintage look is not going away any time soon. Although we are still in a burlap vortex for weddings , I have not seen that trend carry over into prom work . Bouquets are the most popular here in Columbiana and areas south . Corsages are a classic look and if we incorporate a beautiful Fitz bracelet , they are very well received. I work very hard to make sure no two are alike , that the ribbon and the accents are different each and every time . I LOVE PROM ….. You have probly heard me say that many times , but I do . It is unique and different , each piece different and complimenting the look the prom girl has created. I want you to realize that as to educate the consumer as to what vindicates my prices.

As with any work : I strive to make everything unique and different . I don’t ever want you to say , that looks like it came from “K Mart” , I want you to say , oh , that’s cool , it must’ve come from Willows’. So let us embrace prom time .
