Brides Brides Brides!

2018

Whew !!!!   Are you newly engaged ?    Are you planning ?    Are you excited ?   Is he the best guy in the world ?  Is she the most beautiful woman in the world ?     I am so happy you came to my site to check out the Willow’s .    I want to be your florist .  Thank  you for coming by ~   I am happy you are here.

First things first …..

Hi I am Jenny .   I am a professional florist .   I am 51.99999 years old .   I have been ” loving  what I do and doing  what I love ”  for  A L L  of my adult life.

In 2017 I helped 74 brides say “I Do” with the most beautiful flowers .   In 2018  I hope to help  65 Brides and Grooms with their weddings .   I am an experienced florist  with many years of bridal service under my belt.    I should probably write a book of experiences ,  horror stories,  bridezilla stories ,   mom zilla stories,   venue stories and vehicle problems on days of weddings,   but we will start the year off with a January Blog post of welcoming our newest  guests of honor !

I am a florist by heart ,   a farmer by heart ,  a gardener by heart ,  a wife  by heart ,  a mom by heart , a sister by  heart, and a daughter by heart.    All of these roles are my very favorite….. But truly I love creating the most beautiful  floral arrangements  for your most beautiful day.    No one is as beautiful as they are on their wedding day.  Wedding flowers are an accent to your ensemble .    It is great to have the most incredible flowers ever,   and have them be an “icing”  to your day .    I don’t want you to think they have to be the biggest in size to be the best .    I can create the look you want  with the style you desire and  hopefully in a budget you can afford!

Wedding floristry has been  popular since the beginning of time.   Dating back  to the late 1600’s and early 1700’s .    Brides carried bouquets to cover their own BO ( believe it or not )   as well as to adorn their look as they presented themselves o their bridegroom.    Hmmmmm.   Seems like its been around a while…. I guess  we should select something timeless.

So here are my questions for you  now that you’re planning your wedding:

What is your style ?   Country Chic

    Bohemian Wild Flower

    Sophisticated and Classic

    Traditional  and Elegant

    Vintage

What are your color schemes?    Burgundy  Grey Navy and Eggplant are the most popular  colors  thus far in planning for the ’18 season . I love color and I enjoy trends.   It is fun for me to see things change and evolve.   Last year I could not keep enough burlap on hand ,   this year I see the trend heading to a little more formal ,   a little more romantic and  a little more vintage.      ~ with a little less burlap ~

How many attendants do you plan to have stand up with you and your groom ?    When planning on a budget consider the number of attendants as you plan  for your costs.    That will determine the bottom line right away as well as blow that bottom line right out of the boat !

Where  do you plan to say your I do’s ?    Your venue will help to determine your style .   If you’re planning an out door wedding in August ,   please know it is going to be HOT outside.    If indeed you want fresh flowers ,  please know delicate stephanotis will not hold up as well in the heat as an orchid ,   or something a little more tropical that comes from the heat of it’s native growing habitat.

Also a consideration is time of day  for your ceremony and venue .    So many brides choose to get married out side in the sun .   ( the blazing sun )   All of which is also fine , however consider your guests and their comfort.     A barrel or container full of ice and pony bottles  of water would be a welcome sight for guests who are sitting in the sun on the hottest day of the year.   Your guests are those whom you want to share your day with …. Treat them as if they are royalty , go outside of  your comfort zone to make certain they are impeccably  cared for throughout your wedding weekend.

Hopefully these suggestions will help you plan  your perfect day !   Please call the shop to make your appointment today !
