A New Decade ~ A New Wedding Season

Hi Friends,

I have not been on the website to blog in too long ! Seems as tho there is not enough time in my life to get it all accomplished ! With this new year I am going to try really hard to blog at least once a month . Please help me by holding me accountable . We have finished up a great wedding season 2019, facing a new wedding season and just enjoyed a beautiful Christmas Holiday . Thank you all for choosing us to help decorate your homes and offices, as well as sharing your love with floral gifts through out the season.

As we face this new decade and wedding season , I see a new trend of all white flowers on the agenda. We are also seeing a more neutral palette. Still beautiful flowy chiffon to the floor bridesmaids gowns. Many navy and cobalt tuxedos , with a few in burgundy. Classic black is often a handsome go to . As we look at colors and styles of this coming season , may I please urge you to take all the pieces of your tuxedo out of the bags and packing when picking up your items the tux shop. TRY THEM ON! I can’t tell you how many times the items are not the right size , the alterations may have been started and not finished , or we have found them missing something important. Please just check them out well, prior to taking them home . Before we leave the tux talk , think of the style of tux you choose for your guys. Not all guys look nice in tapered leg trousers…. #Jussayin.

Gowns are beautiful lately. Feminine , romantic , lace , full , a line , fit and flair, sweetheart , straight , plunging …. All have been so lovely. The colors are incredible of gowns as well; ivory , white, beige , champagne , bisque , chocolate, blush and cream . I only have two comments to make about the brides’ attire. A. make sure you can walk in your gown . If it happens to be too tight , you may not make it all the way to the altar not being able to take a deep breath . B. As well as walking in your shoes ~ if you select an incredible pair of shoes, think of walking on an uneven barn floor. That may pose a problem you were not anticipating.

Flowers…. I know a thing or two about your wedding flowers. Blush , Barely pink and cream , with a little white , and yes a pop of burgundy and a little bit of blue , berries or thistle. I don’t want to seem trite about it , but I think 70% of 2019 weddings were burgundy and blush with a hint of blue . 🙂 It is all good . That is a gorgeous combination and photographs so lovely. I am excited to mix it up a little this year . I think we are almost through with the burlap and lace kick . I am really hoping so anyway.

Whatever you choose to make your day uniquely you , just know that if you suggest a “look ” to me , and trust me to handle the selections of flowers and greenery , I will be certain to create an amazingly beautiful wedding for you !
